Game Version Changelog:
Well, after a long pause. We are back in the game! (pun intended)
I had to step away from developing for personal reasons, but the development has started again.
I will rename the Beta version into an Alpha one.. because.. It’s the truth. As of now, the game, if we can call it that, is still in very early stages. As several comments here have said, the game lacks content, not only with the story but also with the scenes, audio, animations, etc. Because I need to build everything from scratch, it takes time, and the results of all the coding may only be seen further along the line. We are in the phase where we build the foundations.
And speaking of it, this update was mainly focused on 2 things. I’ve built the foundation for 2 big systems. First is the audio speaker system, and the second is the very first version of lip sync!
So not only now the character has audio speeches on top of the text, but they will also move their lips! In the future, they will even be able to show emotions when they talk. Again, it’s just the foundation for now, and the movement of the lips doesn’t match very well the speech yet.. But at least the system works.
It will require a lot of fine-tuning tho!
This game is very ambitious, it is one of the few full 3D games in this category. Creating this kind of game is way more complicated than creating a 2D game with only 2D renders(no disrespect intended to those who create that kind of game, some of them are really, really, really good !) but in terms of programming, 3d rendering/modeling, animations, sounds, etc… it asks a lot more of work.
For all that, we really need your support. The more support we have, the more time and resources we can spend on developing the game. Don’t hesitate to support us on Patreon!
